"Getting found on Google, Maps, and AI answers - in plain English."
Call Steve: (503) 908-4587
Local search is still mostly about Google Maps and that little group of three businesses that pops up above the regular results (people call it the "local pack"). More people are also asking AI tools who to hire nearby. Here's the work that tends to move the needle, in the order I usually look at it.
Your profile is the single biggest thing you control. I check your categories, hours, service area, description, photos, products or services list, and whether you're using posts and Q&A. Most profiles I see are half-filled. Filling them in properly is boring, and it works.
I search the way your customers do, from around town, and see where you land. Then we look at what the businesses above you have that you don't. Sometimes it's reviews. Sometimes it's a category. Sometimes it's that they're simply closer to the searcher, which nobody can fix.
"NAP" is just Name, Address, Phone. It should read the same on every directory and listing out there. Old addresses and wrong phone numbers confuse Google and customers. I find them and help clean them up.
Reviews matter, and the only good way to get them is to ask real customers. I'll set you up with a simple way to ask, and help you reply to reviews, including the cranky ones. I will never buy, write, or trade reviews.
If you work in Milwaukie, Oregon City, and Happy Valley, your website should say so, plainly. I can write or tidy up simple service and location pages. No keyword soup.
Who shows up when someone nearby searches for what you do? I'll look, take notes, and tell you what stands out. Honest findings, including "they're just ahead of you and it'll take time."
Everything ends with a short, plain list: what's done, what's next, who's doing it. If you'd rather do the work yourself, the list is yours to keep.
People ask ChatGPT, Google's AI answers, and similar tools things like "best plumber near Milwaukie" or "best bakery in Oregon City." I check whether those tools name your business, who else they name (if anyone), and what that means in plain English. This field is new and messy. I won't invent a ranking or promise that AI will start recommending you. I'll tell you what I see, and what (if anything) is worth trying next. Each check is a dated snapshot - answers change. Maps / local pack work and AI-assistant checks are separate chores in the same package, not one magic lever.
Based on published rates from local shops in the Portland / Clackamas area, entry local SEO and Google listing plans commonly run about $250-$500 a month. The middle of the ones I checked is roughly $385/mo. I'm starting a bit under that.
★ Get Found Kickstart ★
$349 one time
One pass: Google Business Profile tune-up, name/address/phone check across listings, a look at who shows up near you on the map, one dated AI-answer name check when it fits, and a short to-do list in plain English.
★ Monthly Local Help ★
$349 / month
Ongoing Google Business Profile care, a review routine, citation / NAP watch, a local search check, a monthly AI-answer spot check when it fits (not continuous monitoring), and a plain monthly list. Simple service or town pages when those help.
Contracts: still figuring that out. For now, call and we'll agree on the work and the cost before anything starts. The real test is simple: if you're reading this, it's working. No ranking promises I can't keep - Google decides the order.
