Home What I Do About Contact

Howdy, Neighbor!

Hi, I'm Steve. I got my own little Clackamas business showing up when people nearby search for help. Now I help other local businesses do the same.

Yes, the name is still a joke. A Luddite is someone who doesn't trust newfangled machines, and Google is about as newfangled as it gets. That's sort of the point: I don't treat search like magic. I treat it like a list of chores that actually need doing.

Who This Is For

Small local businesses in Clackamas County and nearby that want more customers. The plumber in Gladstone. The salon in Oregon City. The bakery in Milwaukie. The handyman in Happy Valley. If your customers live within a short drive of you, and they find you by typing "near me" into a phone - or by asking an AI for a recommendation - this is for you.

It's probably not for you if you sell nationwide online, want a big ad campaign, or need someone to promise you the #1 spot. Nobody honest can promise that.

What I Do, in Plain English

Fix up your Google Business Profile - the box with your hours, photos, and reviews that shows up on Maps.
Make your name, address, and phone match everywhere - Yelp, directories, Facebook, your own site. Google notices when they don't.
Help you get more (real) reviews - a simple routine for asking happy customers, and replying to all of them.
Check who's beating you on the map - and figure out why, in words you can use.
Hand you a short to-do list - what I'll do, what you should do, and what can wait.
Check whether AI assistants name you - ChatGPT, Google's AI answers, and similar tools - when people ask for a business like yours nearby. Who else they name (if anyone), and what that means in plain English.

What I Don't Do

No mystery reports full of charts. No fake reviews, ever. Pricing and how we work together: still figuring that out, so we'll talk it through before anything starts.
